a) Normal skin. We would have all love to have this type of skin because it can be regarded as the “healthy” type. It’s not too oily and not too dry. You can find few blemishes, if any all and typically firm and smooth with little pores. If you pull the skin away from the bony structure, it naturally comes back to its normal position.

b) Oily Skin. This type of skin could appear oily and coarse and may have recurring acne, large pores and blackheads. You’ll find that the texture of skin is quite thick while the touch is sticky. This skin is normally youthful-looking as a result of the presence of oil on the skin. Most time, people with oily skin are more prone to develop acne in their teenage and middle years, and also experience overgrown oil glands, or sebaceous hyperplasia in their middle and late years.

c) Sensitive Skin. Those with this type of skin are more easily prone to rash, allergies, burns and sting. It easily gets irritated and can go very red and blotchy. Also this skin type tends to be very sensitive to cosmetics and have a lot more trouble to environmental factors.

d) Dry Skin. This skin type occurs mostly due to exposure to harsh elements and most time for lack or enough water. If you sight someone and feels his skin is light, this is dry skin. Also dry skin may lack natural oils and appears somehow flaky with blemishes, small pores and blackheads. When moisture isn’t enough, dry skin could easily become chapped. As one gets aged with dry skin, the likelihood of getting wrinkles is very high than in other skin types.

e) Combination Skin. This varies to different skin types. It’s typically the Jekyll and Hyde skin type, often with dual personality. It may be typified as oily on the T-zone (the area that stretches from the forehead down to the nose and chin region), and dry to normal on the cheeks and around the eye regions.
